Hi All

Due to one thing and another I have a brew which is finished and still in the fermenter (or is that fermentor?). I don't have access to CO2 until Wednesday or Thursday (it is now Sunday).

I know what I am going to do BUT here is the question which sprung to mind.

Which is Better and Why?
a ) Leave it alone and wait until the CO2 is available.

b ) Keg it, seal it and carbonate it in a few days.

I ask this as a discussion point, just to stimulate some thinking. So please explain your reason for what you would do.

Regards

I figure just leave it, 4 days is not going to hurt (too much), and seeing as it would have a nice CO2 blanket over it in the fermenter, you only risk introducing oxygen if you transfer it, and have no way to purge the O2 in the sealed keg.

If you are dying to get the fermenter freed-up, just bulk prime it in the keg, and let it naturally carbonate.

So there are options for both, but my pref is to leave it (if its a short time)
