When buying or making mead, would you rather taste the honey used if it was a single source honey or would you buy a spiced mead?

On the topic of mead. Picked up a bottle to try and put it in the fridge.

But then I wondered what temp should it be drunk at?

So I took it out of the fridge to await the wisdom of AHB before drinking.

To my mind, mead should be able to be imbibed warm, room temp and cold.
Cold will like beer reduce the aromatics abd warm will increase the phenol/alcohol note that can catch in the back of the throat.
Mostly for me it is room temp year round for spiced or fruit meads and warm in winter and cold in summer for single source meads

I've only tried a few one way too sweet for me, though the Nieces thought is was ok. I think all have had that note of the honey used. Making one is on the to do list for sure.
