There's 2 ways that are popular to add some more aroma and flavour to it. Finishing hops, which are steeped in some boiling water for say 5-10 minutes to give more flavour and a bit of aroma and then dry hopping, which are thrown into the fermenter to add a bit of flavour and a fair bit of aroma. (depending of course on how much you add)

I'd suggest you bypass the 12 or 15 gram bags available and grab a 90 or 100 gram bag from your supplier.

Varieties that are popular with the Coopers PA include Cascade, Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, Mosaic and oh, about 10 other varieties.

Try something subtle first....10g of cascade and 10g of Nelson Sauvin as a finishing hop steeped in 500ml boiling water for 5 minutes, then follow it up with 10g of each as a dry hop on day 7 for about 5-7 days before bottling.

15g Galaxy steeped as above then another 15g Galaxy dry hopped as above

15g Mosaic steeped as above then another 15g dry hopped as above

Just suggestions

Welcome to the hobby Johnny anyone here that is new and looking to start using hops in a kit beer I always send them this recipe, its the first beer I ever made and one of the most balanced and nice beers ive made to date, It incorporates steeping some grain and doing a short boil to introduce you to a few different techniques which is a good learning experience and makes a great beer imo.

Method wise just get about 7L of water to around 70 degrees and steep the crystal using a little grain bag (from the home brew shop) for 30 minutes, after the thirty minutes take the bag of grain out and bring the 6 or 7 L up to a boil, once the boil is rolling add the cascade (or any hop of your choosing) to the boil and boil for a further five minutes before killing the gas. Chill the pot down in the sink using cold water or an ice bath or simply use it hot to dissolve the rest of the extract and kit in the fermenter, top up to 21L and pitch your US-05 sachet assuming the temp is around the 20C mark give or take say 2 degrees C. It'll make a great beer to start your journey and gets you used to steeping and hop additions.

EDIT: note that in The picture the Pride of Ringwood addition is there to represent the hops added to the coopers tin so dont worry about that addition its only the 5 minute cascade addition you need to worry about.
