Just wondering if anyone has made this recipe out of the Clone Brews book and what they thought of it? I bottled mine about 3 weeks ago, sampled last night, it's quite a bit darker than the original from the pics i've seen of it, my brew is lacking in a bit of malt character and seems to have a slight fruity taste to it (it's only just there though), is this what the original is like? I used Wyeast 1084 and fermented at 21 as per recipe. It's an ok brew but I hope it gets better with age

Sorry it took a while, my computer at home is still stuck in the 80's

Now I don't have access to Alexanders Liquid Malt, so malt extract is the only thing that is different, but I hit the OG 1 point above what it suggests

Original recipe is,

1.8kg Alexanders light malt syrup (I used 1.5kg Coopers)
1.8kg M & F DME (I used 2 kg Bintani LDME)
230g 60L crystal
113g toasted 2 row pale malt
28g Roast Barley
13 HBU Cluster @ 60 mins
14g Fuggles @ 15 mins
14g Cluster @ 15 mins
14g Fuggles @ 1 mins
14g Cascade @ 1 min
5ml irish moss (I left this out)
Brewed @ 21 deg with WYeast 1084

OG 1061 - 1063
FG 1014 - 1016

My OG was 1064 and FG was 1018 (a little higher but I put that down to the different types of extracts)
