Hmmm theres a truck outside my place. That hasn't been there for a good 4 months.

Checked my place out Yesterday, and the old dude from across the road is sweeping his gutters. And my bludger mate is at his home again. I think this was around November last year here.

Funny how all the Barossa is mapped and none of Geelong is. I wanted to look at a few places from growing up and even my folks house and I couldn't. I even got to look at a friends parents house in Avoca, VIC. The middle of bloody nowhere.... What's going on????

Cheers

I've been following the route to my other half's place (mainly because I know where it is but not the address) and I have noticed that it tends to swap the side of the street a lot... My car isn't out the front in this pic, probably because it's a weekday during semester. In the driveway is her old car, which she got rid of a couple months back.

Checked my place out and noticed I wasn't home. Then I wondered if i was at my second home...

Pheeeeewww... I would have never of lived it down if the car was out the front :p

Mine must have been taken last year, as the side fence isn't up yet.
Funny thing is, the house is there in the street view, but the satellite photo is so old, the house hasn't been built yet :p

Ours was taken at xmas as all the chrissy decorations and light are up on th neighbours houses.

This is great stuff.

cheers

As much as a despise Streetview, I must comend Google for the hassel free, no questions asked, request that I made to remove the photo of my house and the photos either side of it.
To bad for the neighbour across the road who won't see there place online now :p.

I sure one of your neighbors will be happy :p

Apart from checking up on your neighbour, the thing about Street View is that you can just poke around back streets and go places you could never go in real life and get to some of the real truth behind the official 'spin' about things. For example one of my hobbies is visiting old areas and photographing interesting architecture, especially Victorian Terraced houses and streetscapes (have contributed numerous to Wikipedia). Officially Australians live in nice McMansions in quarter acre blocks. So, of course, do Americans. Go to the larger Old American Cities and there are suburb after suburb of modest terraced houses. Hundreds of thousands of them where millions live their humdrum lives.
Heres a couple of piccies of a little back street in Philadelphia and similar in Sydney that I just dropped into from the sky. Amazing.
