Just thought I would let everyone one know about a great new glass cleaner. I know I have posted to, and seen threads about the problems of glasses that have lost their ability to hold a head and give a nice rise of bubbles.
My local HBS has just stocked a product called Brewcraft Brewclean, which they tag as a super strength solvent, detergent free. it is supposedly great for glassware.
I gave it a try today on a couple of glasses that haven't worked for a few years no matter what I did to them. I have to say this stuff is the ducks nuts, sprayed a glass, left for a few minutes and rinsed well. Fantastic head to the end of the glass and a good trace of bubbles.

I have no affiliation with this product but thought some of you guys could use the info.

Cheers

I have always just used pink stain in the dishwasher, worked well..
I'll give it a try on some glasses that just wont work.

Just finished washing up the beer glasses (they don't get washed up with the general washing). You'd be hard pressed to go past a tablespoon of bi-carb soda in a few litres of hot water for the cleaning then rinsed in another couple of litres of hot water that have a splash or two of white vinegar for a rinse. Glasses are literally squeaky clean. Bet it's cheaper, works just as well, possibly already in the kitchen and is part of the household budget. Got this tip from here

The million-dollar question, Andrew; what's in it?

I guess that it would great for glass carboys then. But does anyone know if its corrosive to metals, particularly brass? I have a glass carboy with a brass tap. I find that using bleach is corrosive, leaving a white-green tarnish. Wondering if Brewcrafts brewclean is suitable and if it will remove the white-green tarnish.
