CraftBrewer were clearing out 2008 season Glacier hops for $2.90 so I bought a few foils. I couldn't believe they were American, more like a UK hop and indeed similar to Willamette. I needed a subtle hop for a mild so I just did a simple 60 min addition of 20g to an IBU of 18.

I'd swear there are two or three hops going on there, absolutely lovely and refreshing and well balanced. And six years old to boot. I entered the mild in the NSW comp and it received very good reviews with scores around 38 per judge.

If Ross gets it in again I thoroughly recommend as a replacement for Target or Northdown in an earthy UK ale. I've got quite a lot to go through, move over Target
