Hey All,

Been Searching around the forums and cant find much info on finning wheat beers?

I Have a 150 Lashes clone in the primary at the moment and I would like to have a nice clear beer.

Just worried about the gelatine stripping the flavour accociated with the wheat style?

Anyone done this with positive results?

cheers

I used gelatine in an American wheat recently. Tasted awesome, scored a smidgen off a silver at the Royal Show.

Cheers KrausenHaus!

As it is a Christmas beer and the family will be drinking it, I will clear it up as much as I can.

I know its out of style and I of all people don't mind a cloudy wheat beer.

But I Am brewing this mainly for my grandmother who loved to homebrew in the past and is always at me to make a Pale ale for her.

Yeah I stuffed up on the title.

Cheers all

Did you make a Wheat beer or a 150 Lashes which is an Australian Pale Ale?

Either way, your beer. Do what you want...

However, Gelatin, works on yeast not on haze causing protein or polyphenols.

Raw, flaked, malted wheat?

Hey shonkzy how was that 150 lashes? can you share the recipe as i am keen to make a clone myself cheers
