Hi - I signed up in March but have been reading rather than posting ...
I have been distilling for years and finally bought a Braumeister to do a proper all grain scotch. Turns out you can make beer with it too.
As a result, I skiped the extract and partial grain stages and launched straight into All Grain with a Belgian Dubbel, followed by a pilsner, a stout and a witbier. All went extremely well. But then I discovered how much bottling sucks.
So I made a keg fridge, bought some kegs and had a play. That works way better.
Anyway, I am enjoying the beer brewing as much as the spirits, and the one definately helps with the other skill-wise.
I am trying to work out which brew program to use - I have had a play with Brewers Friend, BeerTarget and BeerSmith. None of them are jumping out, and mostly because I am having a hard time programing in the equipment and tweaking them to make sense. Mostly I have used them for recipe design and then done my own thing. Suggestions welcome.
Cheers
