First Minimash

Howdy

Got around to doing my first minimash today

Just curious as to what style this beer is? It was originally going to be a brown ale but wanted a little something extra to the last one i made, and decided to up the spec grains a little and add in a little roast malt and 85% chocolate (just for laughs really, and because it was on special)

Here it goes

1kg DME
1kg LME
1kg Pale Malt (MO)
0.3kg medium crystal
0.2kg carapils
0.2kg choc malt
0.15kg roast barley
0.1kg 85% cocoa chocolate (added to a seperate saucepan where i added it like a FWH and boiled it for 10min, then scraped the fat off the top)

35g newport (11%) @ 60min
30g fuggles (6.1%) @ 30min
30 fuggles @ 10min

Nottingham Yeast

So.... yea, what sort of style is this? Fingers crossed it all goes a-okay

Ahk, i thought it was verging on the edge of a porter

it started as sponges chocolate brown... but that roast kindve through it off a little bit.....


owwww well... aslong as it tastes nice, im not too worried
