what does SRM MEAN in relation to caramel/crystal malt 80l (80.0 SRM) ?

it's an indication of the colour. The higher the SRM value, the darker the colour.

Hi Ken,

SRM stands for Standard Reference Method, and indicates the colour that the grain will contribute to the beer. Check out the wikipedia page...
