I Heard on the radio today that the NT is about to limit speeds on the highways to 130kph. <_<

Dunno about the rest of u's but that was one of my 'gunna' things. :angry:

I'll edit this post when I find some written evidence. Apparently the NT cops are spewing about it.

And wasn't that a big tourist drawcard?
 
i know when me and a couple of mates were up there a few years back we set out to find one of those roads with the no speed limits to see how fast we could make a hire car go before it shook it self apart....
(keep in mind not all roads up there have this policy)
bummer , but probably a good plan in the interest of human safety

I noticed one of those signs just out of oberon a couple of years back (actually about 6-8 years come to think of it). It was on a very windy council owned road (not RTA) and I was having trouble doing more than about 40-50mph in my old Valiant let alone winding up a bit!
