second hand fridge + taps with shanks = cheap. i get 4 kegs in my fridge and hence 4 beers on tap, without any dramas.
I've been looking at kegerators on Ebay from Victoria, but I see this mob are on the Gold Coast. I'd be interested to know about the cylinder as the Victorian ones come without cylinder. However doesn't the whole deal seem a bit too cheap consider that a cylinder itself is going to cost you over $200?
Edit: you may want to repost this in "I bought a kegerator" in the gear forum as it's much more up to date.
Thought those were the DOT approved (US) aluminium cylinders, that are very hard to get filled anywhere.
Anyhow, just bought a used 400l fridge for $65 and the cylinder, reg etc from from the guy who sells
keg kits on Ebay based in Mt Waverley.
Will end up costing about $500 all up with an Aus Standard cylinder (albeit only a 2.6Kg one)
although it does take up a bit more space than a bar fridge
Aha little grasshopper. I've been pussyfooting around the Ebay Kegerator deal from this guy because although I buy heaps of stuff online I haven't used Ebay yet and a bit reluctant to throw six hundred dollars at someone I am just taking on trust. So I take it that the Glen Waverley guy is kosher........ have you actually been round there or just get it couriered out to you?
Like they say all business is based on trust so the guy is ok, I'll happily purchase and recommend.
