Look at this on eBay:

Super Mute Mini Magnet USB Desk Cooler
Portable Cooling Fan for PC Laptop Office

Would this make a good DIY stir plate.
you would have to hack it to mount the magnet and then mount it in/to something
So if you need to hack something may as well hack together something better for a few bucks more

PC Fan, DC power supply +
PWM/LED Dimmer ~$3 ( e.g. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DC-12V-8A-LED-Light-Strip-Dimmer-Adjustable-Brightness-Controller-GU-/371459165437)
Rare Earth Magnets ~$1 (e.g. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-10-x-Super-Strong-Small-Disc-Magnets-5mm-x-2mm-Round-Rare-Earth-Neodymium-/121492021818)

That 1st link didn't work for me. Damn.

What about this for a cool stir plate?

Why get a dc power supply when I have a bunch of phone charging plugs with the USB connection?

I bet the 1st one would fit well into a project box. Only need magnets and a pot I reckon.
updated
and a 5v fan is going to have less grunt than 9 or 12v, but YMMV

got one delivered last week. Quality is as expected for the price, thinnish stainless and the falsy is not great, however i only had 1

degree temp drop over an hour.

I too had one, but the thing only holds 45L of wort, was planning on using it as a 1V system, but i need to do at least 40L batch's, which means 45L boil volume.
Which means i had no headroom for the boil. Anyway i've since returned it.

$4 for 50g of hops!

A new variety Ive never heard of before Humulus Genus. Some great info on hear too. Did you know hops are also known as yeast flowers? Some growing tips as well. Hops love the cold. Ive ordered 10 packs

Not sure if i'm missing something, but Humulus Genus is Latin for the climbing hop plant.
They don't give a specific variety that i can see.

I did learn one thing tho - Hops can be smoked !!

*Mental Note - 60 min addition to Boil & Tally Ho paper

Turns out I've been buying seeds this whole time and wasting them on bittering/aroma/dry-hopping:
