Hello all.

I finally did it this weekend, that is set my keg fridge up.

Its a pretty simple setup. Not being incredibly mechanically talented I thought I might post some pictures to show you all.

I got most of the stuff of eBay including the fridge. Gas from BOC.

My question is about the Co2 regulator in the picture, never having touched one of these before I was wondering if someone who has the same type of thing could let me know how to use it!

Thanks again for all the wonderful info on these forums!

nice work
groovy fridge!
what can i say about the bottle?
what do you want to know???

edit - instead of the stubbies, you could have the next brew lagering, so you can fill the keg straight away, and put the stubbies on top of that

With the reg. Once it is tightened in situ, wind out the knob on the reg then open the valve on the gas bottle. One of the gauges will shoot up to its pressure straight away. Thats bottle pressure.
Next wind in the knob on the reg and the other gauge will raise slowly, this is the keg pressure(AKA pouring pressure).

hope it helps

Thanks for that, I was not to sure about how the knob worked.
I have not attached it yet to the keg. But when I tightly wound the knob and turned on the gas, the gas shot out. I guess it needs to be connected to something!

The fridge colour Im not too sure about, Im thinking British racing green next time, with a few "go fast" stripes! :D

Cheers

clockwise is on
anti-clockwise (loose feel) is off

That's never mentioned anywhere...that a reg works the opposite of what you expect.

Everyone I know has started off trying to force 500kPa into thier kegs.

i spose it just those of us who have used gas welding equipment who take it as granted.
