A quick search on google will probably pop up the answer but I have no idea what temperature corn gelatinizes at. Flaked corn is probably already gelatinized, I am guessing that corn kernels crushed in a grain mill aren't.
If it is not gelatinized before or early in the mash, you presumably aren't going to get very good extraction.
