Hi all,

I have just put down a quick brew for visitors.

1x Coopers lager tin
Brewcraft 1kg #40
Saflager S-23
Coppertun Hersbrucker 15g bag

All in the drum 22L total and sitting in brew fridge set at 15deg.

Interested to know what people will think it might come out like? Crown lagerish?

Also what should I look out for with the temerature? I have heard that lagers can get bad flavours if brewed too cold.
Would this happen with a kit brew? If so how can I mitigate any issues.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to some feedback.

Cheers

Should be fine, I use s-23 at 15C and gives a nice crisp flavor, needs a while in the bottle to condition and mature but will end in a nice product

Should be pretty good, a mate at work throws down something similar a fair bit and it always turns out nice, Brosy is right on the conditioning, my mates brews always take a while to reach their peak.

Bit of an update. I have now kegged the brew and the flavours straight from the fermentor were pretty good.

FG gives me an alcohol content of pretty much bang on 5%. Which is a little higher than I expected.

Now just to give it a couple of weeks to condition and tap the keg.

Thanks for the feedback guy's

Hersbrucker is a good choice, it's the hop that is often used as a late addition in some premium aussies like Boags or Cascade.
