Just picked up some Coopers 750ml bottles from the pub with a best after date of 09/03/2006. The oldest I have had to date is best after 03/01/2007 which I had only a couple of weeks ago. I have found the older ones to be exceptionally smooth and roasty with beautiful coffee flavours.

There are still 3 bottles left which I am going to go back and get...anyone else had a really old Coopers Stout? What's the oldest you have had??

I've seen a full stubby in recent times that looked like it was 70's. I think it even had some kind of ringpull thing like bundaberg ginger beers have? Wasn't mine unfortunately so I didn't get to try her out...

Holly Crap  Now that's OLD! Would have been great to have tasted it! I am going to cellar a couple of the bottles I purchased but I don't think I would be able to hold on to them for 30 odd years...

The ring pulls went on into the early 90's I think. Certainly when I started legally enjoying Coopers fine ales in the late 80's they were still ring-pull. Not sure when they switched over to crown seals... old brain and too much beer.
