iv just been given about 50 longneck from my uncle whos not brewing anymore and apon hearing that iv taken it up has decided to clear some room in his shed

im stoked because it saves me a lot of money considering im not into kegging yet but the problem is that they are quite dirty in the bottom and my efforts (boiling water with some brew clean and a scrubber with a soak) I haven't been able to clean them very well at all.

just wondering if there are any tricks of the trade, old school remedies and techniques that's worth doing, because if I cant find a half easy way about it id just rather buy new ones and chuck these old ones

cheers lads

soak in hot PBW and leave them for a week in it, then wash them as normal

Napisan mate. Same deal a PBW. Non scented of course.

Fill a fermenter with hot water and non-scented napisan/sodium percarbonate and leave you beer bottles in there for a few days.

Labels will fall off, the bottles will be spotless (still give them a rinse etc) and the fermenter gets a clean at the same time.
