Cleaning and Storing Filter Cartridges

Hi,

Just wondering how those of you who filter your beer clean and store your filter cartridges?

I back flush mine and store dry and then rinse with Starsan before using again. But I'm still getting staining on the filter element................

I let mine soak in 4 teaspoons of napisan for two days and it works a treat, comes up like brand new, then I rinse and soak in water for a day, let it dry and stick it up on a kitchen shelve. When ready to use again I run starsan through it. No problems so far.

I have mine soaking in a bleach solution at the moment and then plan to flush it out by soaking in water for a couple of days.

Will try sodium percarbonate if that doesn't work.
