Hi folks.

Long time lurker who has just installed a nice wooden collar onto chest freezer. Been running kegs with picnic tap for a couple of years and decided to take the plunge. Collar now on and considering Celli Flow control taps or Perlick. I generally have 4 kegs on the go and the chest freezer can hold 6. I am leaning heavily towards the celli taps due to the minimal piping inside the fridge which becomes a nightmare with lots of kegs but appreciate they are a lot more expensive. However.. having priced up Celli on craftbrewer where I generlally buy most stuff then realised I would most likely require a shank assembly + john guest fitting per tap which adds roughly another $52 Kiwi per tap !! So have the following questions hopefully somebody with them can help with

1. Apart from materials, what is the main benefit of stainless over the chrome finish ? Price differential is big
2. What depth hole will the celli tap extend through so I can avoid the shank extension. The collar is 40 mm thick. Might be able to spade bit a hole on back of collar to reduce thickness?
3. Found these on ebay. Number of sellers all promoting them. No doubt made offshore and most appear drop shipped - Anybody have these already. Good bad or ugly etc?

Chrome with SS internals - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LONG-SHANK-FLOW...=item4aadd33aa7
All SS - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/STAINLESS-STEEL...=item45fc63744a

They seem amazing value compared with the Celli's and also have the shank and pipe connection but I appreciate you often get what you pay for and don't fancy spending large to find they are a poor imitation.

Thanks for any comments.
