The bar in the domestic terminal had some ok beers a couple of months ago. think its called the taphouse, Good enough to avoid resorting to vb.

Moore Park View aint too bad - had rocks brewing red ale on since day 1.

Hmmmm...seems like most of those place are very near the city. Maybe I'll stay there instead of near the airport.

Good idea, there's sweet FA around Sydney Airport to do, see or drink. City accommodation is a wise move.

Very good move on the change of accomodation. I would not be happy staying in the airport. Get yourself easy access to the good bits of the city...

The only problem is that I'll be working in Hurstville. Anybody know roughly how long a taxi ride from the city to Hurstville will take at 8am on a weekday?

If the cabbie knows where he is going!!!!! should be no more than half an hour, probably about the same on the train!

The James Squire is no more - now owned by BlueTounge

Just to clarify, It's definitely not owned by Bluetongue. King St Brewhouse is still privately owned. They've just moved there branding agreement from James Squire to Bluetongue.

There's also a banks of Rocks Brewing taps there now. :beerbang: Well done Scotty.

There is accom & great food at Paddys Brewery which would be about 15 mins from Hurstville straight down King Georges Rd. end of April is their Brewers Fest.

This venue was never owned by JS nor is owned by Blue Tongue. Both only had/have a tap pouring agreement and that is all. The bar has a wider range of beers now with a few other brewers also on tap. The brewery will be fired up again soon I believe. I can safely say if you meet Graham the owner for the last 8 years he will very loudly correct anyone on this ... and it is wise to also stand outside of his swing-zone as well as he gets kinda excited but in the wrong way ... know what I mean ...

Scotty

ohh edit - sorry for the duplication, just saw Booz's post
