I’ve finally setup a fridge fermentation chamber and was wondering the thoughts on how close/far the heat pad should be from the fermenter.
You can see my position currently in the image.
Pitched an US IPA around 6pm today at 23c. I’ve set the target temp for 21c on thermostat. Thermo gauge is in the wort using a homemade thermowell (). Temp dropped to 20c at 8pm and heat pad kicked on, now at 20.5c at 9.45pm. I guess this seems to be ok but keen to hear any other thoughts/experiences for best position to get target temps faster.
Cheers!
