I would definitely agree with the above post that you're actually filling the amount you think you are. Apparently Coopers' fermenter markings are wrong.

I just happened to have my coopers fermenter next to me and checked it out with a few litres of water, the markings are actually spot on.

Maybe the older ones were incorrect? :huh:

My Coopers(bought last year) is out by 1 litre, 23ltr is actually 24ltr... <_<
