as other's will say ball lock ,majority of people use them..they are both as good for beer,one is taller than the other..

Yep, Pinlocks are slightly shorter and a little wider in diameter.

The Pinlock Kegs don't have a manually operated / auto PRV on the lid.

Pinlocks are a bit cheaper for now.

Other than that, they're both stainless and have plenty of serviceable life to them.

Ball lock kegs are getting harder for suppliers to source but have been in service for several years.

Cornelius branded pinlocks can be rebuilt as ball lock and a new lid with a manual/auto PRV installed quite cheaply.

You may even find some Kegs that are exactly the same in every other aspect except the posts being either ball or pin. I have had both, but changed to the pins to balls just for ease factor. The majority of kegs available are ball so adding to your collection at a later date for cheap is easier than looking around for pin.
