Not reading wrong, just the wrong table. We're talking about the crozdog spreadsheet at the bottom of the article.

I stuck my numbers in that spreadsheet and it says I did it right. Pure luck.

1.6m (5mm) lines. What a fluke, I thought they were going to be waaaay too short.

Ha ha, I finally see what you mean Razz, the 6mm line changes things dramatically.

So much so that with my setup at 2.8 I don't even have enough 6mm line

I'll get the 5mm ASAP.

Once again, thanks for the help guys - at this point, the only thing I'm good at with beer is drinking it :icon_drunk:

The two tables give the same answer (and so they should!!).
The difference is the number of CO2 volumes you want.

One the crozdog table it recommends a range of 2.2 to 2.7 for lager.

Using 2.2 CO2 you get 10.3psi for 6 degrees.

Using 2.8 CO2 on the crozdog table you get 17.1psi for 6 degrees.
The same number given by the WortGames Reckoner

The key is how much you like your beer carbonated.

At present I have 75kpa with 2.5m of 5mm.

It's pretty close, but more like how I would want a Porter to pour - for a standard beer I want my it a bit more bubbly.

What sort of change do I need to make to be able to run that tap closer to 100kpa - I've got more 5mm line if necessary, if I add a meter is that likely to make much change?
