hey revox,

i got the thrumometer free with the plate chiller- individually they go for around $50, although i'm sure it would be easy to make your own. the fittings on it are not 1/2", but i just use 2 hose clips on each end to crimp on my 1/2" silicon hose, which works well.

May i ask what camera and lense you use? My moneys on a nice f1.4 or f1.2 50mm? Please tell me its a $400 lense to give me hope with what i have

I would think its something like that Tony. Very soft and a low depth of field. The good news is a f1.4 50mm lens won't cost much more than $400 if you shop around. Even better A lot of companies do f1.8 50mm lenses which are dirt cheap (~$150). In my opinion, probably the best value lens you can buy - there isn't a great deal of difference between 1.4 and 1.8.
