Are AIPAs passing their peak in popularity?

Beer Advocate's Todd Ahlström suggests they are, but their clientele in largely in the US.

In Australia they never were as dominant in brewpub sales as in the US (tax on high abv may be one reason), but do seem quite popular on this site. Personally, I don´t brew West Coast IPAs anymore, but do brew NEIPAs.

I have to say I have moved away from them myself, after starting brewing 7 odd years ago because of the style. I had a British IPA (Gage Roads Sleeping Giant) last week and really enjoyed it - firm refreshing bitterness without all the fruit, and a strong malt base. Could personally swing more towards them in the years to come.

I'm over it. Grand Ridge Gippsland Gold is big, bold beer without all the lolly-water flavours that dominate among todays craft brews.
