Hello All,

I bought a 20L willow container and it came with a bung (as pictured....bad pic sorry) that fits in where the tap screws in.

These things are very handy. I havent had one of these before and they are great for when soaking/storing fermenters/cubes etc

I have been looking around to buy them, but I cant find them anywhere. Everyone says they should come with the fermenter.....well they didnt for me.

Anyway...would anyone have a few (that they dont want....1,3...or max wanted is 5 if I am lucky) that they are willing to send to me? Or i can pickup if in sydney. Happy to send self addressed envelope if that helps. I have a few (2-3) extra measuring syringes that are handy for measuring out stuff (1ml & 2.5ml)

I checked on our sponsors website but couldnt find them. Maybe I was looking in the wrong spot.

I got my 2 from bunnings for $30. This may seem expensive but I did get a free fermenter & cube with them.

They came with every fermenter or cube I ever bought from Bunnings. I probably have a dozen of them as I don't remember ever throwing them out.

Shoot me a PM and I'll see if I can send some your way.

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave.

If I make a thread titled 'free bread and cider with little kangaroo delicacies' can you send some my way too?

I'll make it up to you. I'll buy you a jeep.

Dave was kind and offered you bungs on request.

He also makes cider and bread (viewable in the bread porn thread).

Thought I'd try my luck and see if I could get some sent down as I like cider and bread.

Just being stupid, no malice intended if that's what you're thinking.

Malice........no way mate. I knew you were being funny, I just didnt get it!

Making bread hey....another thing i have been meaning to try.

I make a fantastic banana bread. I thoroughly recommend this recipie. I would have made 50+ loaves over the years and each one has been fantastic!!

You can sub white sugar for the brown sugar, its fine. Also you can sub margarine for the butter, fine too. Plus you can use self-raising flour too, I still add a tiny touch of baking soda even if I am using self-raising

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Banana-Banana-Bread/Detail.aspx

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

    Cheers mate....

You can try...

Actually I'm pressing this years cider this weekend. 45kg of apples. 60% crips pink and 40% granny smith.

Cheers

I'm aiming to make a cider very soon now the weather's a bit cooler. I'll be trying out my grape crusher in conjunction with a juicer. and will be looking at about 40kg various apples. I like to use at least 4 or 5 varieties.
