This might sound like a stupid question, but i have never used beersmith and this have always intrigued me.
What are the percentages on section next to the HOPS ?
I know it's not percentage by weight and not percentage of IBU's

60.00 g Azacca [12.30 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 5 45.3 IBUs
40.00 g Azacca [15.00 %] - Steep/Whirlpool 15.0 Hop 7 9.0 IBUs
100.00 g Azacca [15.00 %] - Dry Hop 4.0 Days Hop 9 0.0 IBUs

Also, wouldnt it be 4 packets of US-05 instead of 40 pkt ?

It's the percentage of AA in the hop variety. That combined with the boil time gives you the ibu estimation, which is the bitterness.

ahh so it was actually used 2 different Azacca hops one with 12.3%AA and other with 15%AA.
Thanks guys !

I only had one type of Azacca hops so the alpha acid discrepancy is my doing, not sure how? I’ll amend the recipe which will put out the bitterness but not by much.

I used 40grams of yeast out a bulk pack so the recipe is 4 pkt.
