Am I a luddite? Bling vs. Simple

I didn't know of this BIAB thing when I built my 3v HERMS system. I have a PID controlling both HERMS & HLT with 2 12v pumps. Brewing is so easy if I miss the mash in temp the PID will correct my temp and recirculate the wort. Crystal clear wort into the boiler every time. I love the repeatability in an electric PID controlled system, if you brew a different beer each time then it doesn't matter.
I couldn't have a 3 tier system as I brew in the basement with limited head room so pumps were the go after a few kitchen brews.

Good mate of mine has a HERMS and says that if he had his time over again.....

However he makes good wort so why put the HERMS out for kerbside hard waste collection.
