Freedom Units? Do you mean Fahrenheit?
If so, I think F is a much better Scale than C, since F has a much wider numeric field compared to C, only going so far as 1/10 degree increments.
No need to use 1/10 increments in F, since there is such a large scale between 0F and 168F - that is 168 digital units without the use of tenths...
The rest of the Metric system is much better than Our stupid English - feet, inches, pounds.... UGH!

That arguement of "BuT tHeRe'S mOrE nUmBeRs" is just ridiculous
168F is 75.5C, that .5C makes absolutely no difference to the end product and arguing it does is disengenuous
 
If you go a bit further into brewing science it gets even more important. For example the heat required to cause a temperature change, the change of density as a function of temperature...

Metric is a system! All the parts integrate to form a working whole, very much not the case with imperial.
I suspect it’s partly what you are used to. I’m so old I remember when we used Pounds, Shillings and Pence and the change to Dollars and Cents, also remember the change to Metric with great relief.
