Just filtered a CPA ag brew and noticed air bubbles on the outlet side of the filter heading to the keg, the seal from the lid of the filter had fallen out from when I cleaned it last and wasn't put back in.
To stop filtering and put the seal back in would have made a mess so I just let it continue filtering.

My question is, will this cause and problems and if so what period of time should I consume in to avoid any such problems.

Ps filter was purged originally, is a 1micron absolute

Cheers

Purging the filter first will have helped Beerswiller, I've had mine not seat properly from time to time and the best thing I could do was give the keg a good burping after it was filled, hopefully that drives out the small amount of air that MAY have got in. RDWHAHB. Not sure about time frames.

it mightve just been CO2 coming out of solution even, which shouldn't affect things...

At the end of filtering when there's no more liquid coming from the fermenter but there is still liquid to drain out of the filter, I find that a significant amount of air bubbles get into the filter. I haven't noticed any issues from this yet but it does worry me a bit.

Yeah i've noticed that to M^B. Does concren me a little seeing air pretty much bubbling up through my beer.

Had a thought though... before I note some air being sucked in through the filter. Stop it there and do this;
- remove the the filter line connection from the fermenter tap
- remove the gravity filter connection thing
- attach the CO2 bottle to the filter housing (with Non return Valve in place) to push the contents of the filter cartridge into the keg.

I this should empty the housing and keep the system O2 free
