Perhaps you've got too much gas & its coming out in the beer line. try reducing the pressure a bit & see what heppens. what pressure is it & what length of your beer line to the keg ?

cheers

Ill go out on a limb and say that its the opposite from what redbeard said.

The CO2 is coming out of dilution in the beer because there isnt enough pressure in the keg to keep it disolved.

Kingy, read up on "balancing" your keg system, if you haven't already done so.

I used to have the same problem as you until I learned the theory and got a longer (and thinner) beer line. I rarely get any problems anymore.

the CO2-bubbles appear only if the tube heats up.

Thats why the first beer gets alot of froth and as the tubes cooles down, the second ore third one will be alright.

The reason why: inside the keg, the beer is in an equilibrium (balance) between Pressure and solved CO2 in the beer. The amount of solved gas directly depends on temperture and pressure.

For example: at 5 and a pressure of 100 Kpa the amount of solved CO2 is around 5g per litre.
If the beer heats up now (in the tube) under the same pressure (doesnt change), then the beer cant hold 5g/l anymore, so gas comes out.

Kingy , its the beer line heating up and the gas coming out of suspention.. If you have your system balanced ect ect and still getting it , try putting a small computer fan in your serving fridge to keep the temps incide even..
As your tap heats up it transfers the heat bake to the line just behind it so if the air in the fridge is moving around the line dosent get the same heat absorbtion..

Wow hope that makes sence..

its the same thing that happens at work, when you dont pull a beer after a while there is a build up of pressure.. so maybe you just need to releive before your pour the first one
