I have just started using beersmith 2 and was wondering whats the best way to enter the grain info into the software, for example I have some Joe White/Maltcraft Malted Wheat and was wondering how I get the specs? and how I add them? Is there a data base that someone has made? or somewhere to find them?

I have found some info on Grain and Grape but they only have the max and minimum yield for some of the specs? also how would I add these do I add the max or minimum spec? Also Im not sure how to get the SG, or if I should enter the protien as dry or soluble, the coarse or fine diference, or the diastatic power linter as the grain and grape info is (Diastatic Power * WK, Dry Basis Min 300)

I apopoligise for all the questions, I would love someone to point me in the correct direction or let me know what they do for there grain specs, maybe Im being to anal? its the Chef in me.

Easiest way is to get the ones Beersmith has available.

Simply go Help > Addons > Add . Then just select the ones you want and install them. There is a one in there for Joe White.

Thanks heaps, that was easier than I thought it was going to be!! :super:

Just wondering if there was a way that beersmith 2 can take into account the acidity of the malt as well as your water and salt additions to give you a ballpark pH level? I would use EZwatercalc but I BIAB and it doesnt work.
Cheers
