3 Gallon Keg Availability

I've been looking for a source for 3 gallon kegs at a reasonable price and the news is not good. Basically all the second hand 3 gallon kegs have been snapped up so you have to wait until a fellow home brewer off-loads some they no longer need. If you want o buy a few at a time, you only option is to buy new kegs and these are not cheap. The cheapest price I have found is Sabco US$65. Unfortunately they are out of stock and don't look like they are going to get any more soon. I emailed them and they said the manufacturer has backlogged for the rest of the year. Bottom line is if you haven't any 3 gallon kegs, it's unlikely you will pick any up at a good price. If you have some and want to sell them ...... you're laughing.

A bloke had a few on ebay a while ago with a reserve or "buy it now" at $195.00 from memory.

Glad I got mine a while back now, had a nice package of three sent from brewers discount in the states. I'll be holding on to them that's for sure, they are my favourite kegs (especially because they will fit in my kitchen fridge without the need for a dedicated keg fridge).

Kind of wish I didn't sell the third one to a mate for the cost price of $70. A bloke should have bought every one he could get his hands on.

Hey all, this is my first post here.

I recently purchased a 3 Gal. Keg from an online store here in Australia for $135.00 I needed one but didnt wanna spend that much. Will be saving up and re-mortaging the house to buy another couple. If you want one i will track down where i got it from.
