Hi all.

I got this keg off ebay.

when i got it home and looked at it, it seemed much larger than the black plactic topped 19 liter kegs ive seen.

I filled it tonight 1 liter at a time and it holds 25 liters

it measures 720mm high x 230mm diameter.

I was given dimentions for the 19 liter ones at 630 x 210 or 220 i think.

are these bigger kegs common

cheers

Hello again mister Rheem keg :)

Yep, although the total capacity is around the 25L mark, these are often sold as 22 or 23L kegs (accounting for headspace).

Strong, well made and will last you until well beyond the point where you are in a state of advanced decomposition...ask to be buried with it (filled of course :chug: )!

PZ.

ooooooohhhh i didnt know :)

i thought they were all cornies, you learn things every day.

Burried with it.............. but what to fill it with?

hopefully i have a while to think about that!

cheers

Rare a s hens teeth I believe so treasure it.
Regarding the other keg that you use for your Ti tree oil extraction, What did you use to pick up the thread on the keg. I have not been able to track it down.

Its just attached to the origional coupler with the dip tube removed.

And this headspace thing......... thats just wasted space for beer isnt it.

I fill 50 liter kegs to the brim

do i need to leave head space ?

cheers
