I'm just wondeirng if anyone knows whether two 20L kegs will fit into a bar fridge.

My original plan was to use a full size fridge (which I already have), but I think I'll run out of room (need to fit a pool table into the room as well :D

So..... I need to put the fridge under the bar, and need to fit the kegs in.....

any ideas?

take 2 kegs with you to the local fridge shop - easy B)

Another thing to look out for is the shelves....

I had a friend offer me a caravan front opening freezer.

In my haste to grab it and go i quickly shoved in the tape measure to check if my kegs would fit.

All good!! :D

Unfortunatly i failed to notice the shelves were the cooling elements for the freezer and can't be removed.

I could carefully fold them against the back of the fridge (at the risk of splitting the lines)

but the SWMBO found a "lovely little spot thats easy to get to" for it and now its full of frozen chooks etc. :(

I've got one, but it wasn't easy to find.

Unfortunately most of them have ice compartments, when what you need to find is a cooling plate on the back wall of the fridge.

The other thing to watch is the size of the compressor hump.

I don't think I've got any 20L kegs, I'm pretty sure mine are all 18L with a couple of 22L(?). The large ones won't fit obviously, but I can just squeeze any combination of normal kegs in there without having to move the thermostat housing. Two tall slim kegs fit beside the thermostat, two short dumpy ones (eg Rheem) go under it, and one of each will fit as long as the short one is on the right.

Chris,

This photo only shows one keg but I now have two in there. The 2 corny's fit (just!) but only once I removed the shelves on the door. Sorry the photo is old but trust me, two fit in there! ;)

Hopefully this at least this gives you a visual idea of what might work.
