Brought some honey from a 2$ shop about 2 years ago
Decided to make a mead with it
It was Macadamia nut Honey
Tasted the other night after 18 months in the bottle
Found it to be the best Mead i have made
Tasted woody like an oak aged mead (some thing i have only tasted in a 20 Yr old white wine)
Fruity like a very well aged white wine ( not a real white wine drinker but i will drink it)
Sort of dry and sweet at the same time
And some other flavours that i will have to drink more of it to describe
All in all the taste would have to be described as a very well aged White wine
Alcholic bight that my meads do have was very subdued
It was very surprising considering i paid about 2$ a KG of honey
Absolutly the best Mead i have made Albeit @ 2$ per KG
