BWS had them on here recently for the same price, sold all there reds in 2 days, didn`t chance the whites, as someone said tho, a lucky dip.
On another note, anyone who is a red drinker should try Brown Bros. 2007 Cienna, beautifull. {$14.95}. Actually lives up to the notes on it`s label.

stagga.

i couldnt imagine drinking $2 vino... talk about low grade *****...
The headache that stuff gives is enough to make even a seasoned drinker curl up and want to die in the morning

You get what you pay for..do the crime..Do the time.. :icon_drunk:
You give away your beers for free, yeah? Bloody Nora! It must be infinitely more sh!te than the marked-down cleanskins. Don't drink 'em if you feel that way - more for the rest of us who can appreciate the difference between made-to-$2 and sold-for-$2.

Right now I hope - if there is any decency in the Universe - that someone on a wine forum has found some bargain marked-down Rochefort 10 and is posting about 'how sh!te this cheap-arse crap must be".

I purchased a ctn of red and white of these about a month ago and was pleasantly surprised. They wouldnt take off the gold, but they ran rings around a $4.00 per litre cask I threw down the sink recently.

Like QuantumBrewer mentioned, just because they're selling it at $2 a bottle, doesn't mean it's terrible wine.
Alot of the cleanskins on the market come from respectable wineries and can often be the result of such things as running out of labels, or merely just getting rid of old stock.
I've been to a couple of wineries recently that were selling cleanskins of their own wines. One winery was selling the same wine we were forking out $20 a bottle at the cellar door for, but were never labelled, and they were selling for $7 a bottle instead...hard to go past.
Whilst another winery was selling its previous vintage Riesling unlabeled for $5 a bottle simply because the newest vintage was of much better quality (apparently their best ever). But yeah, if you rocked up a year earlier you would have paid top dollar for the same wine.

We have been drinking these $2 bottles for a while...SWMBO likes tha chardy, and I dont mind the cab-merlot

Just cause they are cleanskins and cheap does not mean its crap wine...personally I think they give $10-15 bottles a run for their money

There is, of course, the old story about the wine marketer who couldnt move a $10 bottle of wine.

He put the price up to $30 and sold the lot.

And you believe in the tooth fairy Stu :)

I might buy a couple of dozen crates for Sydney's homeless people, get them trashed on the condition that they riot upon my command at Town Hall station during afternoon peak hour.

With cheap wine comes ultimate power. :beerbang:

I look at the DM's here in Ballarat last night and the cheapest bottle was $3.99. I even asked and they said they have never had wine cheaper than that.

Theres a vineyard over here that had a heap of stock they couldnt get rid of, and because they are 'apparantly' a high value brand they ended up tipping a heap of it rather than sell it for a lesser price and cheapen the brand
