It could be an amazing beer and one that redefines the macrobrewing industry as it shows the big boys are sitting up and paying attention. However, a rediculous price tag and stupidly limited run means that its pretty much just a publicity stunt imo

Ultimately a lot of it comes down to ignorance, most people have never tried what most of use would call "real beer" and so will continue to buy what the advertisements say is beer. Often when I go to parties I'll bring something like a corked bottle of La Fin du Monde or Saison Dupont...

Hey guys, I just saw the trailer for the new American beer doco, looks really interesting! It looks like its going to be about the big breweries (Bud/Miller/Coors) versus the microbreweries and it features a whole bunch of well-known American brewers http://beerwarsmovie.com.

Its certainly possible but you'll be missing out on alot of the fruity esters. You may also find the beer will be a bit drier.
