"my Fridge" - Peltier Heating/cooling Unit

The area I specialised in was digital but haven't worked as a tech for many years...I got my cert., used to repair and install car audio in my early 20's and the odd service on tv's/vcr's/etc. for friend's, family, etc. then went off on a whole different avenue...so not a practising tech. just...

Howdy Beernut, Being an electronics tech. I do know the function of peltier devices and I'm not being patronising and thanks for the explanation as some others reading this may find it new/useful knowledge to them...just after confirmation on the temp. controller function. :icon_cheers:

"my Fridge" - Peltier Heating/cooling Unit

I had considered it may be a heatsink but was wondering why it is connected to the inverter/PS unit, then I thought "Oh, ok it must be something to do with the temp. controller" so I'm really just after confirmation from someone that is familiar with these units.

"my Fridge" - Peltier Heating/cooling Unit

I have one of those "My Fridge" peltier cooling /heating units(scored from work) but it is not operational. I have pulled it down and discovered the peltier is sitting atop a big, what looks like an aluminium block, connected to the inverter/PS board. I have a pic which I will upload shortly...

I have a spare ADSL modem also, I would have to check and make sure it works and if it goes someone can also have it for a small donation to AHB...I can either post it(at your expense) or it can be picked-up from either Hillside(Sydneham) or I can take it to work(Camberwell, right next to the...

So What Time Does Your Bar Open On Xmas Day

I will start the day with being woken by the phone ringing at around 8am, Mum on the other end waking me and telling me "Santa's been"...then I will get up, pour a Vodka(Orange and Chilli flavoured) and orange and give my Dog his present - half a cow's leg(butcher's bone) and then open a bottle...

    Tooheys Draught Can

+1 Seems there are too many ppl here whom just post for no apparent reason! If you can't reply to a given question then don't reply!! Ninja, firstly ditch the supplied yeast and get something like s-04 or order from craftbrewer and get the equivalent. Add some hops of your choice and...

    Broccoli Box

Go to the $2 shop/Reject shop and get a bucket there...it's clean and you can be assured no nasties lurking. I wouldn't use a styrene box and I am a fan of doing/making things as cheaply as possible.

    Coopers Yeast Quick Question

Hey Jono... Just from what I can tell after doing a few of the Cooper's kits, they all seem to have had the same yeast sachet supplied, so I presume all the yeast is the same, except of course for the Lager yeast(I haven't seen that sachet yet). But alas I haven't done them all so there may...

My Newest Purchase - Beer Filter

Oh, ok...my apologies OB, I misunderstood your suggestion...I thought you were saying to make the filter closer to my bottling bucket, instead of being as close as it is to the top fermentor thus using the force(gravity) to push the beer through the filter quicker(better). It wasn't really that...
