Thought there would have been some sugarz in the beer? Seems reasonably standard practice for most strong Belgians to have a bit of sugar in them, candy or otherwise. Either way, very nice beer. Been way too long....

Pretty much my rule of thumb also. However, being an avid wine drinker/lover, if the beer selection is piss poor that's always an option, though some situations you just NEED to have a beer, like at a game of Footy...which is the toughest place in the world to get decent beer sadly.

This yeast is, once again, scaring me... Finished doing a Saison - left it there for 3 weeks all up due to lack of time. Attenuated from 1.055 to 1.002! Bottled that this arvo. Re-pitched the cake into a 1.064 stout. Sitting at ambient temps 20-22°C, it's starting to Krausen after 4 hours...

Interesting. Would be nice to get a bit more info on it though

If you're down around Darling Harbour, there's also The Pumphouse, next to the Entertainment Centre. Always a good range of beers (draught & bottled), and the food is decent.

Pitched 2 packs of this into a 1.054 wort at 2:30 this arvo. Fermenting at 22 degrees It's taken off well and truely already...i'm scared!

Wow...posted going back to '08...bit late to this one. But my oh my, what a beer! Just superb balance of hop & malt. Really enjoyed the malt richness and texture most of all - very amber/brown beers i've tried come close!

Really? Bit strange Did you go into the Brewery or the Pub? The Brewery beer is pretty much always manned by Keith or Jess, or at least someone else working in the brewery.

Been in there twice in the last two weeks now for growler refills! Good little setup - pretty much smack bang in the middle of the brewery. All the beers are enjoyable - been through a growler of the Red IPA & Pale Ale thus far. Swung by on Saturday arvo; whilst they don't have proper eating...
