    Kviek Pitching Rates

Thank you! Thats a bit disappointing. I have used W34-70 with good results. I have been out of the loop and when I saw Kveik yeasts, and spent some time looking around, I thought it might be a silver bullet kind of yeast for clean fast fermented lighter grain driven beers.

(Insert image of: assumed newbie coming on hands and knees grovelling to a two year veteran of Kviek) Asking: 'Please sir, if its not so much to ask, could you just answer my original question?'

Slightly offensive with a slight disclaimer lol WTF helpful not. I like lager like beers without lagering. That's the simple answer.

    She's a little too carbonated...

Makes a lot of sense especially the aging bit. I probably don't brew often enough.. or drink to much lol Or maybe both?? I used to age when I had cornies, more space, two gas bottles, and regulators. I just keg into 50lt now and can only fit one in my fridge.

    She's a little too carbonated...

I have no patience to wait for a keg to slowly carbonate. I always force carbonate and shake the keg it takes some practice to get it right and you may need to add more gas but its relatively easy. I also pour at 12 PSI so your beer line length and diameter will make a differnce. Your pouring...

I am realy excited to try Kviek yeast strains! I stopped brewing for a few years when I purchased a business and had a few kids. I am slowly getting back into it and today I made a Kolch so I can play with LalBrew Kviek Voss yeast and realy see how this yeast works. I also plan to wash and...

    50L kegs

Year right!! The design must have been used for other applications than kegs. I found a Firestone branded Keg that was used as a fire extinguisher and it looked exactly like a corny. I bought some corny keg posts and they fit. Wouldn't hurt to buy some and give it a go!

    Simple stout recipe

Cheers MashBasher! MOST stouts use roasted barley, but black patent can be used for stout also. Brewing classic beer styles 'Triple-X' and Burton Bridge 'Top Dog Stout' dont use roasted barley. You can use oats to get the mouth feel.

    Simple stout recipe

Are you willing to roast your own grain? Its not hard, and you can do it in a pan or oven. If you are I can convert a stout recipe for you. If your not willing to experiment and try something new then your stuff out of luck with what you got

    Simple stout recipe

You could try roasting your own malt.. You wont get an exact EBC but it will darken and flavour your beer.. You can also use some rolled oats or quick oats to add some body and mouth feel..

    50L kegs

I don't think it has connectors by the look of it. The top photo looks like the dip tube is coming out?? I have not seen kegs like those before so I have no idea..

    Racecourse Keg Lid?

I have an issue, I bought a few kegs for my old man a few years ago off ebay and one of them is a racecourse style keg. As the name implies its not a perfect oval shape lid, and it has almost flat sides and has a shape lick a racecourse. The keg lid has a hole drilled in it and a plastic...

I've got ester problems. SO MUCH BANANA

Give it time I am sure it will disappear somewhat. I have brewed a few beer with the unwanted banana esters and some with wanted banana esters and they both dissipated after around 1.5-2 months. Some wheat beers tend to loose the banana as the yeast flocculates so either wait or filter.. Edit...

I've got ester problems. SO MUCH BANANA

From what I have read you don't need to aerate wort with dry yeast. Steve is correct.
