    Brewing in high temperatures

    9 days in and I'd think the fermentation is pretty much close to done. I think the first 3 or 4 days may be the more critical phase for keeping your temperature in correct range for the yeast.

    Thanks. I am currently no chilling with 10L jerry cans and transferring to 30L fermenter to ferment. Hoping to do some mid strength 20L maxibiab no chill batches for Summer. If I can no chill and ferment these in 20L jerry cans side by side in my little fridge that would be a real time saver.

    No markings to give any indication of being food grade. If anything, I think they would probably contain the extra BPA's from BPA free plastic bottles :P

    Made a quick apple cider today: 6 x 3L Coles Smart Buy Apple Juice 500g brown sugar 2 x 2.5ml tanin 4 x 2.5ml malic acid 500ml water Nottingham yeast Boiled the water with brown sugar, tanin, malic acid and added the lot to the fermenter filled with 18L apple juice. Yeast added to the brew...
