    Ssr Advice Please

I'm looking to build a couple of PID temp controllers for my system and general temp control duty. I'm comfortable with the PID side of things and have the units already - but so far i have been running my PIDs via manual relays not SSRs. I need to buy an SSR or two. I plan to run a maximum of...

    Clear Beer

You can dick about with all sorts of finings, lagering, dancing about a fire and praying to the beer gods.... OR.... You could buy a packet of Polyclar and a 1 micron filter. Clarity matters to me - and even though I am fussy, I'm willing to call this good enough.

    Fridge - Cool Retro Free

My downstairs neighbours have moved out and left a working old style fridge on the street. Its a pretty damn cool retro Crossley brand one and looks like this I'd have this in a second if i had room for it. A little TLC and it would make a super cool kegggerator or just a nice addition to...

When Not Enough Power Is Still Plenty.

I brewed a double batch of pilsner today - 50L pre boil volume. It took about 20 - 30 mins after i hit volume to get it boiling. I continuous sparged for about 75mins and the mash was brought to a mashout before sparging began. And here's a video to show that you dont need to point the arse end...

    Kettle Evaporation -

Ok, so while merrily arguing with Nick in another thread with evaporation in the title, I have also been having grand chicken cacciatore that my lovely wife made for dinner and annoying her in the kitchen while doing a couple of benchtop experiments on evaporation rates. Just to be clear though...

    Font Mounted Counter Pressure Filler.

So, I've been having a ******* of a time doing "quick" fills of bottles to take to parties etc etc. Pouring nothing but foam. I could dick around dropping the pressure etc, but by the time I do that I might as well bust out the CP filler. I want simple, fast, proper CP filling up on the outside...

    Good Head Beer

Anyone know about these guys?? http://goodheadbeer.com.au/ The blurb on the website seems to peg them as just another marketing company with a contract brewed beer (AIB I think) and they seem to be offering franchises of some sort. I've never heard of them, but they have taken over what used...

    General Technical Questions For Discussion/help

I'll kick this off with an easy one In yeast metabolism, the EMP (Glycolytic) pathway ends in Pyruvate (CH3COCOOH). My main text seems to refer to CH3COCOOH as either Pyruvate or Pyruvic acid interchangeably. They are the same thing right?? TB
