    Recipe's Using Summit Hops

How much aromatic did u use? I doubt that it will prevent the hops from coming through... IMO, if a black ipa can be hoppy with the amount of crystals and roast, i doubt the aromatic can make much of a difference... How long did u take to chill the wort? What yeast did u use?

    Dilution/gravity Calculations

7L will hit approx 1051 on beersmith... HOWEVER, what was the original batchsize u intended to brew? U can add sterile water to dilute the strength when u overshoot efficiency but u will also lose ur hop bitterness and aroma as u are watering it down

    RecipeDB - Landlord Tribute

I reckon that the OG shld be about 1042-1046 highest and fg should be low and no higher than 1013 (1010-1012 preferred) as it has a dry finish and little residual sweetness (so wy1968 and wlp002 so not be used). Very nice bitter with a firm earthy bitterness and some refreshing hop aroma. I...

    Fridge Help

I recently bought another used fridge for fermentation, and the fridge compartment was very weak while the freezer was strong. Upon reading this thread, i opened up the ducts and saw that most of the air was channeled to the freezer while the "leftover" air was channeled to the fridge. So i...

    Anyone Seen These Pumps?

Got a reply from the chinese dude who said it wasnt foodgrade. I of the same mind with Tim on this, and believe that its highly plausible that they are the same items. Given how these things are produced on an oem basis in china daily, i cant see anyone wanting to compete making an identical...

    Anyone Seen These Pumps?

Yeah, i think i will go for the UK one for peace of mind, especially since a $15-20 difference is so little if u spread the cost out over 2 yrs lol. Im wondering if it will choke with grains or hops while recirculating the mash or whirl-pooling the kettle given how small it it inside.

    Anyone Seen These Pumps?

I've been wanting to get the pump from solar project shop until i saw the ebay pump. From the reviews i read on the UK forum, so far there hasnt been any stalling or major issue on their pumps. From the pictures, the ebay version does look very similar but i have no ideas if its food grade or...

    Hopgoblin Clone

I tried the following recipe and I managed to get pretty close to it... I'd probably add a little bit more styrian at flame off and maybe a little more chocolate malt. OG 1056 and FG 1016 4.80 kg Pale Malt, Maris Otter (3.0 SRM) Grain 89.39 % 0.25 kg Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM)...

    How To - Gelatine

Hi there, I keg and lagered my beer for 1mth with gelatin. Not knowing that the gelatin doesnt set at the bottom and will be suspended again, i forced carb the beer with shaking. After 4 days, i emptied 3 pints to clear the gelatin, but its still a little cloudy with gelatin sediments still...
