    The Big Sale In Brisbane

Sorry but in your last PM, after i said I would not take the adaptors off the font, you said "I will have to price up some snap lock adaptors to see if it would be worth the money. " Which to me sounded at the time like you were no longer 100%. I was offered a deal for the font and the taps...

    The Big Sale In Brisbane

Hi all, I've had to give up brewing for various reasons, and as i haven't put down a brew for over 12 months i figure it's time to sell up and get the garage space back. I'm looking for pickup only sorry, although i may be tempted. I'll also be keen to offer discounts for anyone who wants to...

    Drying Hops

Thanks Doc. Had a look and couldn't find anything to do similar, so i'll just have to lay it out on paper and turn it often.

    Hop Plants

It's been a long time since i have been on here, between moving (thrice), buying a house, new job etc, the brewings fallen by the wayside. Anyway, since i came for a bit of a look, i thought i would share some piccies of a hop plant. The father in law is a bit of a green thumb, and offered to...

    3 Monts

Well i have to start with the truth and admit that i bought this beer under a mistaken assumption. I was prowling the new 1st choice liquore shop, and saw this beer. On the front it has "Bier de Flandre" so i thought that i might be buying a Flanders Red ale. The rest of the writing didn't give...

    Free Autoclave In Brisbane

Need to move, am currently not drinking, and don't have room for all of my equipment, so i am going to get rid of it. First to go must be the autoclave, free to a good home. Only catch is, you have to pick it up, and you will need either a hatch or a ute (i'm in Camp Hill). I never got around...

Dont Use Your Garden Hose To Fill Your Hlt

Also, if you use your garden hose in QLD as of today, you are likely to end up with a fine if your neighbours don't like you. Brewing is getting harder with the new water restrictions.

    My First Filtering Attempt

I was planning on using a filter for 3 purposes a) filtering beer B) filtering yeast out of cider to halt fermentation, before sweetening c) filtering yeast out of wine to reduce amount of sulphur needed. From above, does this mean i need a 0.35 micron?

    Surprise For Our Visitors!

Being a common forum platform, i'd suggest that some worm / virus has trawled through the user listings, and scraped all your emails. Probably means that one of our members is infected. Just delete it, and update your AV sigs.

    Missing O-ring On New Kegs

The thing is, that the gas pressure should actually help the seal, well, seal. It both pushes the poppet into the top of the post, and should also effectively apply more pressure to the O-ring, by pushing downwards on the flare on the top of the dip tube, thus effectively helping to seal itself...

    Missing O-ring On New Kegs

Does this help?? You will have to forgive my really crappy artwork, but as you compress the seal, it should seal against all the following surfaces.

    Missing O-ring On New Kegs

Hey PP, the number of seals looks fine to me. That's the same seal setup as the corny kegs use. The o-ring on the dip tube looks a little bit big and loose to me in those photo's, it shouldn't be able to drop at an angle from the shaft of the tube. Also, with a new seal you should feel the...
