    Stainless 1" Bsp Rims Element

Try Electronic suppliers eg Jaycar or Oceancontrols. Dick Smith is selling more consumer stuff now instead of components, but a big store might have some.

I used to use plastic garden qd's - had constant issues with air getting in. Swapped em with camlocks from geordie - no looking back :)

Stella Keg Can It Be Done.

I'll stay out of the "is stella drinkable" discussion.... According to this site http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-beer/k...1.html?letter=s it has needs S type coupler - the same as tooheys use. Makes sense as I think tooheys brews stella here under license..

    Fermenting Under Pressure

Dunno re using them for the main part of your ferment 'cause of the pressure issue already mentioned, but see no reason you couldn't use em as spunding valves towards the end of primary to naturally carbonate. Not sure how you'd deal with the trub, Run the outlet through a filter before you...

What Malt Am I Liiking For?

another vote for crystal - a mix of colours & makers will add complexity. i know it isn't malt, but a bit of demmera sugar will also add some complex flavours. Check out Tony's old ale for some ideas http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/inde...&recipe=425 This beer Won Grand Champion Beer in...

    Spa, Rims ?

SAV, I reckon it has potential. maybe a bit pricey compared to DIY, but it would involve no fabrication if anyone was a tooltard (not saying you are B) ) here is the link http://www.spaparts.com.au/categories/Heat...ents-%26-Parts/ Some look loke they use plastic housings, so I wouldn't look...

    Whirlpooling - How And When?

I'm a no chiller. With my setup I leave the kettle for a while to let the convection currents settle down (takes about 15 mins as my burner is in a cast base which holds a bit of heat), then use my old trusty coopers spoon to give a good stir around the edge to get the whole wort moving. Wait...

    Just Broke My March Pump

Hi CM, not sure what "Superbije" is. I have a couple of different densities of cyanoacrylate, but Don't think mixing Superglue with hot wort is a good idea. FNQ, thanks for the thoughts.

    Just Broke My March Pump

Just getting everything ready to mash in a 100l brew when I somehow knocked my march pump off the bench. Somehow both the inlet & outlet have snapped off right at the bottom of the thread. NOT HAPPY JAN! Have sent an email to process pumps asking about a new housing, but that isn't...

    Adding Sugar For Mouthfeel

I wouldn't add sugar for the reasons given, but might consider steeping some carapils eg in a coffee plunger & adding it to your keg once it cools to add some more dextrins.

    Anhc 2010

Back at work today & couldn't believe that there was not any beer on offer at morning tea  I needed to top up my RA (residual alcohol) level B) Fantastic few days with great company. The food & beer pairing dinner was probably the best meal I've eaten  Big ups to the organisers

    Australian Lost Beers

Brown was made by Tooths. Black was made in Grafton. For some reason I thought it was also made somewhere in the Hunter too. (could be wrong 'bout that & maybe it was brown like you say)
