    Co2 Bottle In Fridge?

Yeah, did you see mythbusters when they shot a massive cylinder (not sure what size) through a brick wall? Kinda scary.

    Co2 Bottle In Fridge?

Don't currently need to worry about space. Have a 500L chest freezer :beerbang: , but only 4 kegs and a couple of CC jerrys.

    Co2 Bottle In Fridge?

Assume it's iron, as it's reasonably heavy for its size. I know that the guys who refill it freeze the bottle before refilling (presumably so that it can be filled more)

    Co2 Bottle In Fridge?

Hi all, Does anyone have an opinion about putting the CO2 bottle in the fridge? Will prevent having to put a hole in, and will allow the bottle, reg and line to be portable without having to dismantle. I have plenty of space, so that's not an issue. My thoughts are that it would be fine...

    Brewday @ Domonsura's

Would love to come along, but with the impending arrival of #2 baby, I may be otherwise occupied! Otherwise, I'll be there with one or two brews for the rest of you to tell me what I can do better!

    Barley Crusher Postage Times

Oh, the irony! I went around to Dr Gonzo's place on Sunday at 12 to crush enough grain for my next two AGs (that took some advance planning, not something I'm known for - that's another story). Had a good time having a chat! Got home at 1:30 to find.... you guessed it, the...

    Malt Prices And The Drought

Umm, isn't that what we want the barley for? :D

    Barley Crusher Postage Times

You can get the Barley Crusher from G&G (listed on Barley Crusher website), but the G&G version doesn't come with the base plate, and it works out to be more expensive than going direct to Randy. It's an agonising wait at the moment - I want (no, make that need) to brew 3 times in the next few...

    Barley Crusher Postage Times

Hi guys, Ordered my Barley Crusher from Randy at BC Products 7 weeks ago, but haven't received it yet (quoted 4-6 weeks postage). I know that post can sometimes be delayed, but what's the experience of others here who have ordered a Barley Crusher from the US? Cheers, BenH.

    How Did This Happen?

Thanks for the thoughts guys, yeah, I've been thinking that maybe the base malt weight wasn't right. I bought it crushed from my LHBS (haven't received my BarleyCrusher yet), but didn't double-check the weight before dough-in. I use a refractometer to do my readings, and the samples were...

    How Did This Happen?

Hi all, Brewed my 12th AG on the weekend, and something unusual happened... I "apparently" got over 100% efficiency into the kettle. My usual efficiency into kettle is more like 80% (and has been that way for the past 5 brews). 5.2kg JW Pilsener 0.05kg Bairds Chocolate Mashed at...

    The Wheatie Tonight

Jeez, didn't really notice. Just as well I had my back turned - couldn't see how much danger I was in! :D

    Increase Boil Length?

The other way you can 'deal' with low efficiency is to increase your malt bill. But I agree with kong, 40% is quite low. What 'system' and technique are you running for your mash?

    The Wheatie Tonight

For me, the bitterness really had some kick this morning! I am NOT an expert, but agree that the beer was nicely balanced. It was a pity that I was driving, as had to restrict myself to 3 glasses. I didn't know the place existed, and last night I was a wheatie virgin  , but I'll...

Agree. I'll also be there but won't know anyone. Look forward to a few conversations about my favourite subject!
